In April the University Library offers PhD candidates at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences a series of courses addressing publishing issues, advanced literature searching techniques and information management. The main part of the program is held on April 17th and will include a free lunch for the participants.
We will give lectures and workshops in
- Landscape of scientific publishing
- Publishing practices
- How to search the scientific literature efficiently
- Different scientific databases
- Reference management and formatting tools
The course consists of independent modules that can be combined freely. Theory and general principles are presented in plenary sessions. Workshops offer hands-on experience, allowing you to use your own research questions.
